On May 17-19, 2017 the 24th Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition - KIHE 2017 will start in Almaty. The event is organized by Iteca jointly with its international partner ITE Group Plc (UK). The exhibition will be held at the Business Cooperation Centre “Atakent”.

KIHE 2017 is a unique platform for the exchange of experience between leading specialists and heads of medical institutions. Holding it is an important part of the process of improving Kazakhstan’s healthcare system, which allows practical medical specialists to learn about the achievements of domestic and foreign medical industry, new methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

In the framework of the exhibition an extensive business and scientific-practical program is organized, which covers the most urgent topics in the healthcare sector. So, on May 17 the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan will hold a round table on “The Analysis and Ways of Implementing Compulsory Social Health Insurance”. This reform will be introduced from July 1, 2017 and is one of the most discussed topics among specialists and the public.

Over the past few years the healthcare sector has undergone significant changes. In addition to the implementation of internal initiatives aimed at developing the system for social protection of interests of Kazakhstan’s population, these changes directly relate to the country’s participation in the international trade and economic processes.

Since January 1, 2015 the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty signed by Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan has entered into force, it has four key economic freedoms: the freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and workforce. Last year a general pharmaceutical market was created, which provides for strict production standards for the circulation of medicine and medical products throughout the entire territory of the EEU. These standards will allow manufacturers to freely enter the markets of the EEU member countries.

The official process of registration of medicine under the EEU new rules started in 2017. The volume of normative documents (837 pages), providing for the multi-level transition to the EEU standards, requires scrupulous attention. KIHE 2017 will pay special attention to this issue and will hold a seminar on “Reforming the process of registration in the EEU” chaired by the specialists of MedExpert.

More than 150 exhibitors will take part in the exhibition, including the companies from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Greece, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Switzerland, representing the leading manufacturers and distributors of equipment, services, medicine and medical devices.

Official support for the exhibition is provided by the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Local Administration of Almaty city, “Healthcare Administration of Almaty” MPI, “National Medical Holding” JSC, the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Medical Association of the RK.
