MODERN CAPABILITIES OF MEDICAL SCIENCE AND PRACTICE WERE DEMONSTRATED AT THE UNIQUE SITE OF KIHE 2024
FROM MAY 15 TO 17, THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTER HOSTED THE 29TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL HEALTHCARE EXHIBITION - KIHE 2024, WHICH OVER THE YEARS OF ITS EXISTENCE HAS BECOME A SIGNIFICANT EVENT IN THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR OF KAZAKHSTAN. THE EXHIBITION SERVES AS A UNIQUE PLACE FOR THE PRESENTATION OF ADVANCED MEDICAL SOLUTIONS AND THE CONCLUSION OF PROMISING AGREEMENTS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INDUSTRY IN THE COUNTRY AND ABROAD. THIS YEAR THE EXPOSITION OCCUPIED THREE PAVILIONS; 4,543 SPECIALISTS WERE ABLE TO SEE THE PARTICIPANTS’ STANDS DURING THE THREE DAYS OF THE EXHIBITION.
Visitors noted the event as the main site for networking, appreciated the large scale of the expo site and the variety of innovative solutions presented. “This is my fifth year attending the exhibition. The impressions are very good. The exhibition is an educational and useful site for broadening your horizons. KIHE provides an opportunity for a large number of new acquaintances and development of medicine, thanks to the services and products presented. We came to find new partners, new companies that will be interesting for us to work with. I think that we will definitely conclude agreements on cooperation”, Yevgeniy Keller, Director of E.N.T. Company, shared his impression of the exhibition.
Advanced practical solutions and innovations from global manufacturers of equipment and medicines were presented by 327 companies from 19 countries, such as Bangladesh, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Egypt, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, Czech Republic, South Korea. More than 185 companies acted as debuting exhibitors. 41% of stands were presented by Kazakhstani companies, showing significant and impressive progress in the development of the medical sector in Kazakhstan. 59% of the stands were organized by international companies, this indicates a high level of international interest and cooperation in the medical field of Kazakhstan, which contributes to the introduction of advanced technologies and the exchange of experience. Companies from Belarus, Germany, China, Russia and the Czech Republic presented collective stands and national groups at the expo event.
The exhibition participants emphasized that KIHE is a dialogue field for concluding productive agreements and expanding opportunities for joint projects. “I have very good impressions, we really liked everything here. We wanted to meet with certain companies, our partners, and we managed to do this at the KIHE site. There is interest in our products because there are specifically those specialists here who are looking for our equipment, looking for our direction. Quite a lot of agreements have been concluded and we have certain partnership agreements; we will cooperate and establish connections. We plan to participate in the exhibition next year and consider a larger stand”, Alena Volkova, FOTEK company, spoke about participation at the exhibition.
Taking into account the critical flood situation, as a sign of solidarity with the country, the organizers abandoned the grand opening. On the first day of the exhibition, a familiarization tour was held with honored guests and industry experts, in which A.B. Nusupova, Deputy Akim of Almaty city, N.K. Otarbayev, Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, V.N. Lokshin, President of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan, B.A. Danilenko, Director of Iteca Exhibition Company, also heads of medical institutions of the republic and leading industry specialists took part. They got acquainted with the participants’ stands and the products presented, showing their high interest and noting the exhibition as an important site for interaction between healthcare industry specialists.
As noted by N.K. Otarbayev, Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan: “International exhibitions like KIHE are among the top organizations and events that are held in the healthcare system. This is very important, because it is on this dialogue site that a powerful symbiosis of different directions takes place. These are medical equipment manufacturers, information system manufacturers, providers, logistics systems, construction solutions for hospitals and clinics, various innovative equipment for a variety of specializations that healthcare managers, subject matter experts and industry professionals who work directly with patients should be familiar with”.
A special place this year is occupied by the content of the exhibition’s business events, which were organized in three seminar areas at once. The program schedule included conferences, round tables and seminars of participating companies. The main innovation of this year’s business program was the I International Medical Forum “Medinnovations Forum”, for the first time organized in collaboration with the Kazakh Society of Neuromodulation, the Association of Cardiologists of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Association of Neurosurgeons, National Center for Neurosurgery JSC, Shashkin Clinic, Kazakh Society of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators NGO, Nazarbayev University School of Medicine. “Medinnovations Forum” began its work with the Session of Nazarbayev University School of Medicine on the introduction of innovations in healthcare. Also, the business program of the first day included a round table “Pharmaceutical market of Kazakhstan 2024: Problems and prospects. MedTech 2024”, where experts discussed the main difficulties in the development of pharmaceutical activities in the country. In the seminar area, leaders and leading industry specialists from Ingenium Group, LIMI Consulting Service, LAB Technology, and Ordamed carried out a number of training seminars. On May 16, the “Medinnovations Forum” and the seminar area continued its work, where specialists from the SATR Center, Medstandard, Adamant Group and Koordynacja Mariusz Strzecha, MediBox shared modern methods and innovative solutions in the field of healthcare. On May 17, the Republican conference “Antibiotic resistance. Challenges in healthcare” and the Forum of laboratory medicine specialists: “Research at the Point of care/time - current status, future and trends”, organized by the Federation of Laboratory Medicine. For the first time, the First Medical Channel television studio operated at the exhibition site, where medical practitioners and healthcare experts discussed the current challenges of modern medicine, development vectors and the importance of dialogue sites.
It should be noted that the technical improvement of the exhibition was the launch of the innovative mobile application - ITECA.EVENTS. Its main task is to make both participation and visiting the exhibition as productive as possible. Using the application, participants were able to make appointments with potential clients and collect contacts by scanning QR codes of badges. And visitors always had at their disposal a list of participants with a list of products and services presented at the exhibition, as well as a business program schedule and an interactive exhibition plan.
