KIHE 2023: MORE THAN 300 COMPANIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD PRESENTED AN IMPRESSIVE RANGE OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, AND INNOVATIVE HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS

THE 28TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL HEALTHCARE EXHIBITION - KIHE 2023 OPENED TODAY, ON MAY 17, IN TWO EXHIBITION PAVILIONS AND OUTDOOR EXPOSITION OF ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTRE.

During the first day 2,012 specialists visited the exhibition, which is 43% more than last year.

KIHE proved to be one of the most important events in Kazakhstan's healthcare industry. Many technologies presented at the exhibition are subsequently implemented in the clinical practice of doctors and pharmacists. KIHE promotes healthcare development and application of innovations in medicine, offering a unique opportunity to choose advanced practical solutions and the latest trends of the world manufacturers of equipment and medicines. More than 300 companies from 17 countries such as Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Pakistan, Russia, USA, France, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, and South Korea participated in the exhibition. For the first time, 87 companies such as Ishym Medical, Q-Med, Mbionics, Medsyst, Zein Invest, Hearing Rehabilitation Center, Karsai Alba KFT, Mina World, Absology CO, LTD, Doctor Aesthetic, Loyer Medical, Tsito FGUP, Litoplast-Med and others had a stand.

Among the large number of stands, it is important to note that 45% are organized by Kazakhstan companies. This is a clear confirmation of growth and development of domestic medical industry. Both local manufacturers of medical equipment and innovative solutions, as well as distributors offering a wide range of international brands are represented at these stands. This diversity of domestic exhibitors emphasizes their commitment to development and competitiveness in the global market, and provides exhibitors with a unique opportunity to learn about cutting-edge domestic developments and establish partnerships with local companies. Domestic manufacturers include the following companies: OrdaMed - Kazakhstan's largest manufacturer of modern medical equipment, AllGene - production of both natural and modified oligonucleotides, Dolce-Pharm/Dolce - production of disposable medical products, professional consumables, disposable clothing, linen and medicines, EIRA MED - production of medical products, GeneNote - production of PCR tests, MBIONICS - creation of domestic bionic prostheses with certified components, and MEDCOMFORT - production of medical furniture, Medical Style - production of medical clothing, SINTEZ-KZ, Medical Holding/PROF Medical Group of Companies - domestic manufacturer of medical equipment and rehabilitation equipment, Aktubrentgen - the only company in Kazakhstan and one of the few in the CIS, which produces high-tech X-ray diagnostic equipment for medical purposes, Biotech Scientific - development of ready-made high-tech systems for research projects and production, DiAKiT - production of reagent kits for biochemical analyzers, ELAMED-KZ - manufacturer of medical equipment - physical therapy devices, medical furniture, equipment for disinfection and sterilization, vacuum blood collection systems, consumables and ancillary medical products, OZAR PHARM - production and sale of dietary supplements, REMI - production of disposable medical clothing and linen, Farmaktiv - domestic manufacturers of test strips and blood sugar analyzers.

The impressive list of international exhibitors at the exhibition is an outstanding evidence of Kazakhstan's market significance. In 2023, 55% of the total number of exhibitors are international companies. This confirms that leading world manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment and innovative solutions are interested and try to present and expand their business opportunities in the Kazakhstan market. The participation of international companies at the KIHE exhibition provides unique prospects for exchanging experiences, establishing business relations, and introducing advanced international practices and technologies in healthcare in Kazakhstan. There were 76 leading medical companies from Russia, both with separate stands and represented as part of 4 collective expositions, demonstrating the latest developments in all areas as part of the Moscow Export Center, the Russian Export Center and other centers.

Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan represents 8 companies involved in production of medicines and medical products.

The French Embassy in Kazakhstan is presenting four companies at its stand to promote French expertise and innovation in healthcare through communication, education, research, networking and support for international projects. Tomorrow French companies will be visited by the Consul General of France in Almaty, Mr. Fabrice Neveu.

Exhibitors at the CzechTrade stand were companies involved in development, production and sales of medical devices for orthopedics and traumatology, implementation of clean room construction in the form of complete supplies, including ensuring supply of all components for clean rooms. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rudolf Gikl visited this exposition as a guest of honor.

Belfarmprom from Belarus traditionally takes part in KIHE 2023. The participants of Belpharmprom holding produce pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, as well as medical products.

China is represented at the exhibition KIHE 2023 by 29 companies, including manufacturers of medical equipment and products, including rehabilitation, physiotherapy and consumables.

Korean Medical Equipment Association joined leading Korean companies at its stand: ACE MEDICAL - is a manufacturer of a wide range of medical devices, specializing in anesthesia, CareforU - professional company engaged in in vitro diagnostics, providing products for immune diagnosis, and blood glucose level monitoring system for self-testing, HbA1c, ACR and all phases of diabetes treatment from initial assessment to post-diagnosis treatment, GEMSS HEALTHCARE - develops various new products based on accumulated technology and digital X-ray, X-ray machines, Mico BioMed - a leading biotechnology company specializing in providing innovative solutions for diagnosis and treatment of diseases, ZENITH T - development of medical equipment.

According to the annual tradition, the exhibition was marked by cutting a ribbon and familiarization tour through exhibition, the participants of which were A.B. Nusupova - Deputy Akim of Almaty, I.M. Shametekov - Head of Almaty Public Healthcare Department, V.N. Lokshin - President of ALE "Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Kazakhstan", N.M. Petukhova - Vice President of Eurasian Medical Association, M.I. Durmanova - President of ALE "Association for Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan", Y.K. Dautbayev - General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of SCE on REM "National Center for Expertise of Medicines and Medical Devices", D.A. Dauletbayev - Head of Almaty Medical and Pharmaceutical Control Department, A.Y. Kazhibayev - Managing Director and Member of the Management Board of SK-Pharmacy LLP, B.A. Danilenko - Director of Iteca Exhibition Company.

A business program was organized along with the exhibition in two pavilions. The Conference on "Pharmaceutical market of the Republic of Kazakhstan - realities and opportunities" was held, it was organized by ALE "Association of support and development of pharmaceutical activity of Kazakhstan", AIPM in Kazakhstan, Pharmaceutical review of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan Association of Medical Laboratory Diagnostics held a round table on "Current problems of development of laboratory medicine in Kazakhstan". In the seminar area, experts-practitioners from ICFER-Kazakhstan International Media Holding, Longest companies, Alifax LLC, KAZMEDEQ.KZ, and Turar Healthcare conducted a series of training seminars.

There will be a series of seminars tomorrow, on May 18, on marketing and building business processes in medical organizations.  Republican conference "Antibiotic Resistance, Challenges in Public Healthcare", organized by Federation of Laboratory Medicine, will take place on the final day of the exhibition, on May 19.
