KIHE has long established itself as the best medical exhibition in the country, a regulator for building an effective dialogue between the state and business, a place for demonstration of the latest medical technology and equipment, as well as medical services. Last year alone, over 200 companies presented their products, and about 3,000 professional visitors came to see the exposition.

In the current realities, the KIHE exhibition provides a unique opportunity for business owners and manufacturers to find their niche in the medical market of Kazakhstan, and for the public sector to get acquainted with the latest technologies and innovative developments of foreign and domestic production. For the development of the healthcare system, according to the speech of Yerulan Zhamaubayev, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, only in the period from 2023 to 2025, the expenditures allocated from the state budget will amount to 6.7 trillion KZT, of which 2.1 trillion KZT - for 2023.

“The healthcare system faces specific large-scale tasks, the qualitative implementation of which will strengthen the system’s readiness to eliminate current and prevent future global challenges, as well as ensure the formation of a patient-oriented healthcare model that meets the needs of the population”, - Azhar Giniyat, the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasized in one of her speeches. Of course, the state policy aimed at the comprehensive development of the healthcare system and the allocated budgets for the development of the industry serve as a catalyst for the effective holding of such highly specialized expo events as the KIHE 2023 exhibition.

In the exposition of 2023, special attention will be paid to the section “Medical and health tourism”. The number of citizens of Kazakhstan who travel abroad for treatment is increasing annually. According to the border service of Kazakhstan, in 2020, 18,678 people left for treatment, and in 2021 – 55,061 people. In addition to traveling at their own expense, since 2012, citizens have been traveling for foreign treatment at the expense of the state budget - within the framework of the Guaranteed Volume of Free Medical Care.

Over 40% of participants are domestic manufacturers and distributors, which indicates a well-formed local market for medical equipment and services. A significant share of the total number of participants of the exhibition is occupied by exhibitors-debutants. There is also great interest from Kazakhstani companies. So, Ishym Medical, Q-Med, Mbionics, Medsyst, Zein Invest, Hearing Rehabilitation Center will present a stand for the first time.
