KIHE 2022: ADVANCED MEDICAL AND LABORATORY EQUIPMENT, MEDICINES AND PHARMACEUTICALS FROM DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN MANUFACTURERS
On May 20 the 27th Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition - KIHE 2022 ended at the Atakent Exhibition Center. 200 companies from Austria, Belarus, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Pakistan, Poland, Russia and Uzbekistan took part in the exhibition.
It is important that almost 45% of participants are domestic manufacturers and suppliers, including Ordamed, BTL Kazakhstan, Dolce-Pharm, Bioline-Kazakhstan, OST-Pharm, Scientific and Clinical Center of Cardiosurgery and Transplantology, Medilux, Amir&D and many others. International companies and manufacturers accounted for 55% of the total number of participants; the KIHE project became a starting point for them to enter the Kazakhstani market, allowing to expand the geography of sales and significantly increase the volume of supplies to Kazakhstan. In addition to the presence of exhibitors from 12 countries, there were 8 collective stands from Belarus, Russia, and the Czech Republic. 66 companies took part in the exhibition for the first time.
Traditionally, KIHE has become an effective platform for demonstrating innovative solutions in medical and laboratory equipment, pharmaceuticals and medicines. The exhibition began its work with the opening ceremony, which was attended by N.M. Petukhova, Chairman of the Management Board of the Eurasian Medical Association, M.I. Durmanova, President of the Association for Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, V.N. Lokshin, President of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ye.S. Iskaliyev, Chairman of SK-Pharmacy LLP, Ye.K. Dautbayev, General Director and Chairman of the National Center of Medicine and Medical Products Expertise, and B.A. Danilenko, Director of Iteca LLP.
The first day started with a solemn opening of the collective stand of the Moscow Export Center, which was presented by 27 companies. A core audience of doctors of various specialties, pharmacists, and business representatives were able to attend the conferences, seminar, round tables, and presentations, which were held in parallel in two seminar rooms. In addition to a detailed review of the exhibition, specialists took part in business events held as part of the exhibition. Annual rich business program is a distinctive feature of KIHE. During the three days of the exhibition more than 40 business events were organized.
The seminar-meeting on "Topical issues of planning and designing of medical organizations" and the round table on "Prospects for development of domestic pharmaceutical industry", where industry professionals were able to share experiences and discuss key issues of development of the pharmaceutical industry were held in the Great Hall. The speakers were representatives of industry associations, experts and business representatives.
There were seminars from ORDAMED, TARGETTA, UNIM, DIAMED GC, Third Opinion, and GEA in the Small Hall. Company representatives discussed selected topics and answered questions from the audience. The business program continued with a Presentation session on implementation of information technologies and digitalization in healthcare.
Almaty Management University (AlmaU) held training seminars "Promotion and sale of paid medical services" and "Patient-centered service as a tool to attract customers" for managers and marketers of public and private medical institutions on May 18 and 19 to improve their skills. The first day of the KIHE 2022 event ended with a practical seminar by 103.kz on "Medical Marketing and Work with the Reputation of a Medical Facility".
The content of the business program on May 19 and 20 was also full of master classes and presentations at the stands of the exhibitors. There were specialized master-classes for narrowly focused specialists from Ordamed dedicated to ultrasound and EEG capabilities, and Chingiz Shashkin, a functional neurosurgeon, held a seminar on innovations in neurosurgery.
On May 19, a Health&Safety Joint Conference was held in the Conference Hall, organized by the Representative Office of German Economy in Central Asia, the Union of German Economy in the Republic of Kazakhstan (UGE) and the BeNiLux Chamber of Commerce Association. In the seminar room, specialists from Ordamed, Agros-International, and Diara Plus held training narrowly focused master classes.
