VICE-MINISTER OF HEALTHCARE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN: “KIHE 2019 IS A GREAT PRIDE FOR THE STATE”
Today, May 15, 2019, one of the main events for the business in medicine - 26th Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition - KIHE 2019 started in Almaty.
The official opening ceremony was attended by: Kamalzhan Nadyrov, Vice-Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Dzhambulat Sarsenov, Chairman of Committee of pharmaceutical, medical industry and medical services of the Presidium of NCE "Atameken"; Rudolf Gickle, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Kazakhstan; Zhanar Madeeva, Deputy Head of MI "Almaty Public Health Administration"; Vyacheslav Lokshin, President of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Kazakhstan; Marina Durmanova, President of the Association for Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Yermek Yasylov, President of the Eurasian Medical Association; Georgi Soin, Head of General Exporter Support of the Moscow Export Center, and Yuri Borodikhin, Regional Director of ITE Central Asia.
In his welcoming speech, Kamalzhan Nadyrov, Vice-Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted the importance of this exhibition to support medicine in our country: “Today KIHE takes on new significance. Technological advances and innovative technologies have led to remarkable shifts in medical world. Our state reaches advanced medical technologies, monitors global trends in the progress of science and becomes an important actor in this process. KIHE 2019 provides a unique opportunity to combine knowledge gained from many representatives of various countries for a breakthrough in health sector.”
Exhibitors are interested in KIHE this year. For example, if more than 180 companies from 17 countries took part in the event last year, today the number of exhibitors is 236 companies from 21 countries. Exhibitors included companies from Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, South Korea and Japan.
The exposition included manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment, devices, supplies for clinics and laboratories; medical products for various purposes; production equipment, packaging and labeling of pharmaceuticals, etc.
The number of foreign exhibitors is 61% of total exhibitors. Russia is represented by 73 companies, the number of domestic exhibitors is 92 companies.
Dzhambulat Sarsenov, Chairman of Committee of pharmaceutical, medical industry and medical services of the Presidium of NCE "Atameken": "Our health care industry has reached a sufficient level since it is ready to discuss issues of public partnership, to offer its solutions in medical innovation, development of information technologies and introduction of future medicine in practice."
KIHE is an excellent opportunity to learn the latest developments in health care, identify new medical and scientific perspectives, as well as an effective dialogue platform for partnership. Thus, more than 50 events and meetings will be held under the exhibition.
Within three days of KIHE, medical practitioners and the general medical public will discuss topical issues of the industry.
For instance, Almaty Medinvest forum was held On May 15, where issues of public-private partnership, digitalization in healthcare and attraction of foreign patients to Kazakhstan medical institutions were discussed.
MedExpert Eurasia, the exhibition's registration partner, held a workshop on “Review of regulatory changes in the CIS markets”.
The Kazakhstan Conference “State and Development Prospects of Kazakhstan Pharmaceutical Industry”, master classes and workshops from exhibiting companies will be held tomorrow, May 16.
