KIHE 2026: BUSINESS PROGRAM THAT SHAPES THE FUTURE OF NATIONAL HEALTHCARE
THE ENTIRE PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL COMMUNITY IS PREPARING FOR THE OPENING OF THE KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION 'HEALTHCARE' - KIHE 2026.
Very soon, from May 20 to 22, 2026, Almaty will host the largest event in the field of healthcare and medical technologies in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The event will take place at the Atakent Exhibition Center (pavilions 9, 10 and 11) and will serve as an important professional platform for discussing solutions that shape the future development of the industry.
Amid ongoing changes and modernization of the healthcare system, the KIHE business program becomes a space for finding answers, exchanging experience, and developing new approaches — from the analysis of practical cases to management and digital transformation.
In 2026, the program will bring together more than 20 events, including forums, plenary and panel sessions, case discussions, and expert presentations. It will focus on four key events, each reflecting the most pressing challenges facing the industry.
May 20: Rehab Kazakhstan – Pavilion 11
Today, rehabilitation is becoming one of the fastest growing areas of medicine. The specialized integrated event Rehab Kazakhstan, organized in cooperation with the Kazakhstan Association of Rehabilitation Specialists and Resort Physicians, will bring together professionals to discuss modern approaches to health recovery — from the implementation of international standards and multidisciplinary models to the use of robotic technologies and telerehabilitation.
Participants will explore practical case studies, equipment, and new methodologies that are already improving patients’ quality of life. Each year, the rehabilitation segment at KIHE demonstrates steady growth: exhibitors present an increasing number of innovative solutions, equipment, and technologies for recovery and wellness, reflecting growing demand driven by modern lifestyles and increased focus on health and longevity.
The plenary session “Rehabilitation as a New Vector for the Development of Kazakhstan’s Healthcare System” will open the business program and be dedicated to key changes in rehabilitation care. The discussion will focus on the implementation of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), integration of rehabilitation across all stages of treatment, development of multidisciplinary teams, application of robotic and digital technologies, and training of new specialists for the sector.
Speakers will include representatives of the Kazakhstan Association of Rehabilitation Specialists and Resort Physicians, Astana Medical University, the National Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after N.D. Batpenov, rehabilitation centers including Medical Park Kazakhstan, as well as international experts and innovative equipment developers, including Ottobock.
The Rehab Kazakhstan program will continue with a panel discussion dedicated to modern methods of comprehensive rehabilitation — from exercise therapy and movement biomechanics to prosthetics and sports medicine. Participants will discuss how patient recovery approaches are evolving, the role of mechanotherapy and robotic technologies, and practical application of ICF principles. The discussion will involve representatives of Astana Medical University, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Research Center for Social Protection Development, and practicing specialists from rehabilitation centers and профиль medical organizations.
The program will conclude with the case session “Equipment and Technologies in Rehabilitation”, where experts will present real world examples of applying modern solutions, from robotic training systems and neurostimulation to AI and digital technologies. Participants will include representatives of clinics, charitable foundations, specialized medical centers, technology companies, and equipment developers, including Ottobock, Qaz.AI, and others, with a focus on clinical effectiveness and practical implementation.
May 21: II Kazakhstan Healthcare Managers Forum – Pavilion 9
Another key event will be the II Kazakhstan Healthcare Managers Forum, bringing together executives, government representatives, medical business leaders, and the expert community. The forum program covers the full range of current healthcare issues — from state strategy and the role of compulsory social health insurance to new management models and healthcare economics.
During the strategic plenary session, participants will discuss system development priorities, public private cooperation, workload redistribution, and the future of tariff policy. Speakers will include representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Social Health Insurance Fund, industry associations, analytical and consulting organizations, as well as leaders of major medical institutions and private companies.
The forum will address questions that currently have no ready made answers: how the healthcare system is transforming, what role managers play, and how to adapt to the new environment.
The Women in Healthcare session will focus on the role of women in the development of healthcare — from the current management landscape to future opportunities. Topics will include women’s representation in the industry, career barriers, leadership and burnout, as well as the impact of digitalization and AI on new professional trajectories.
Participants will include representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, UN Women, leaders of medical organizations, private businesses, pharmaceutical companies, and experts in healthcare management and development. The forum is held under the auspices of the Kazakhstan Healthcare Managers Association. The session will be moderated by the Association’s CEO, Asem Imandosova.
The case session “AI and Data in Healthcare Management” will focus on the practical application of digital solutions in medicine and clinic management. Participants will discuss how to turn medical data into an effective management tool, where artificial intelligence is already transforming processes, and what new legislative requirements are emerging in data governance and cybersecurity. Speakers will include representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Research Center for Healthcare Development named after Salidat Kairbekova, University Medical Center, as well as experts from leading medical organizations, analytical institutions, and healthtech projects.
The second exhibition day will conclude with the discussion session “Caution: Medical Marketing! Ethics, Boundaries, and the Patient Journey.” One of the most sensitive issues in the industry will be addressed — where the line lies between informing and manipulation. Key topics include patient interest protection, development of physicians’ personal brands, differences in promoting clinics versus specialists, as well as the impact of digital environments and social media.
Participants will include representatives of professional medical associations, the scientific community, clinics, marketing agencies, and patient organizations, offering perspectives from ethics to practical application of healthcare marketing. The forum is co organized with the Qaz.AI Association for the Development of Artificial Intelligence, the Kazakhstan Healthcare Managers Association, the International Center for Clinical Reproductology PERSONA, Interna Group LLP, and KMC Group LLP.
May 22: Industry Specific Professional Sessions
The third day will bring together specialized tracks — laboratory diagnostics and the session of the Kazakh Society of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators, which traditionally gathers experts from Kazakhstan and neighboring countries.
The Kazakhstan Biomedical Forum (Pavilion 9), organized with the support of the Kazakhstan Healthcare Analysts Association and the Kazakhstan Association of Medical Laboratory Diagnostics, reflects the growing role of laboratory and analytical medicine in the healthcare system. Today, these areas are becoming crucial for improving diagnostic quality, clinical decision making, and the development of evidence based medicine.
The session of the Kazakh Society of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators (Pavilion 11), “Intensive Care and Anesthesiology: Current Challenges and Innovative Technologies,” will focus on key challenges and modern solutions in critical care medicine. Topics will include the implementation of new technologies, improving treatment efficiency, and sharing practical experience. This industry session is held for the third time and traditionally brings together specialists from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan to exchange experience and discuss best practices.
Company Training Seminars
Additional training seminars hosted by exhibiting companies will take place throughout all three days, showcasing the latest developments, equipment, and solutions for medical institutions:
• May 20: Algimed, Moscow Export Center, NV Lab, EndoEkoMed, Labtechnology, City Pharm
• May 21: Labtechnology, Wellgo Logistics Kazakhstan, Leora, Endo Star
• May 22: Elektrontest
The KIHE 2026 business program reflects the industry’s main transformation — from discussing technologies to addressing systemic solutions. It is a space where new approaches to healthcare management, innovation implementation, and medical infrastructure development are being shaped.
The scale of the exhibition highlights its significance: more than 400 companies from 19 countries — including Australia, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, China, the UAE, Poland, Türkiye, Switzerland, and South Korea — will present their solutions, bringing together the entire spectrum of the medical industry on one platform, from technologies and equipment to management and strategic practices.
